The Resurrection Life Warriors have a strong softball tradition that dates back many years. The team plays a competitive schedule and has been near the top of the standings in every league it’s played in. Each player represents the team well in both quality and style of play, but also in attitude and character to opponents, spectators and teammates. The team strives for success both on the field and off, using softball as a form of outreach ministry and fellowship for both the churched and the surrounding community. While its ultimate goal is to be Christ-like and do the Lord’s will by bringing souls to Christ, the Warriors like to have fun in the sun and win ballgames in the meantime.
The team plays in the Eden Prairie Round Lake Thursday Night Men’s Church league.
A note from the manager...
“We want to wow fans and opponents not just with our mammoth homeruns,” states Manager Austin Colby. “But also with our integrity, positive attitude and fellowship. We’d gladly go 0-18 each season if we score a soul for the Lord because of how we carry ourselves on the field and off. We want other teams and fans to wonder why we have a bounce in our step and a positive comment for every game and situation. If we can get someone to ask why we do or don’t do some things that you see other softball teams doing, then we have the ability to witness with our actions and our words.”
